1. These shares of "restricted stock were granted to Mr. Haas under the provision of the Extra Space Storage Inc. 2004 Long Term Incentive Compensation Plan on July 14, 2005. Theres shares are subject to vesting in equal amounts over a four year period commencing on the first anniversary of the grant date.
